Veken Power is pleased to announce the groundbreaking of a new 2 GWh sodium-ion battery manufacturing facility in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province. The facility represents a significant milestone in our commitment to providing affordable and sustainable energy storage solutions worldwide.
The new plant will manufacture both prismatic and cylindrical sodium-ion cells for applications ranging from electric vehicles to industrial energy storage systems. Production is expected to begin in Q1 2027, with full capacity reached by Q4 2027.
This expansion will bring Veken Power’s total annual production capacity to 5 GWh, positioning the company as one of the leading sodium-ion battery manufacturers globally. The facility will create approximately 500 new jobs in the region.
